Wonder: R. J. Palacio

Wonder is a fantastic book! When Auggie, a boy with a deformed face, goes to school for the first time, he is faced with the good, bad, and ugly. Can Auggie make children like him for his personality, or can they only focus on his appearance? This book makes you experience laughter in between moments of despair. I hope you enjoy this book!

Divergent: Veronica Roth

In a future world, after a large war that left the city of Chicago in turmoil, the government decided to divide the population into five factions to keep the citizens at peace. Tris, a 16 year-old girl was raised in Abnegation, the faction the valued selflessness. When Tris took the test to determine which faction she belonged in, her test results were inconclusive. Tris was Divergent. After giving up her loyalty to Abnegation, she decided to change to the faction Dauntless, valuing their bravery and recklessness. Changing to Dauntless posed more of a threat than Tris thought. Through violent training and falling in love, Tris experienced the world more than she could have ever imagined. Meanwhile, the Erudite and Abnegation were growing farther apart, posing a threat to the government that is supposedly working.

The Hunt: Andrew Fukuda

I would strongly suggest this book for people who love adventure and scientific-fiction books. This story displays the troubles of a human living in a world full of ferocious, blood-sucking vampires. The Ruler declares that there will be a second hunt, an event where the rare humans are set loose, so very few lucky vampires can chase and devour these humans with pleasure. When Gene, the human in disguise, is selected for the hunt, he knows that this is his death sentence. This story travels down a path with love, action, and fear, leading to Gene's destiny.
